Texas Cash 5 lottery Rules and Claiming Prize

Cash 5 is an exciting game to play in Texas as you can be a winner just by matching 2, 3, 4, or 5 numbers.  To play Cash 5, go to your nearest lottery retailer and ask for the Playslip. You will see five playboards on the ticket (A, B, C, D, and E) and you can play either 1, 2, 3, 4, or all 5 playboards but each playboard costs $1. You need to select 5 numbers from 1 to 35. You have two playing options, you can either choose the Quick Pick to let the computer terminal choose numbers for you randomly or mark the numbers you want to play on the Playslip.

There is a Quick Pick box on the right side of the Playslip, tick that to choose the QP method. In case you choose an incorrect number, just tick the “VOID” box on the right side of the Playslip, do not try to Erase it.  

For the convenience of the players, Texas lottery offers the option of “Multi-Draw” which lets you play the same number for up to the next 12 drawings. Just tick the appropriate box in the Multi-Draw section to select the number of draws you want to play. The odds of winning the first prize in Texas Cash Five are 1 in 324,632 and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 7.2. In case the number of top prize winners is greater than three than the prizes are given out on a pari-mutuel basis rather than a fixed prize basis. There are some rules you should follow-

Retailers are not responsible for the mistakes on the ticket, players are recommended to double-check the ticket before submitting it to the retailer. Claiming a Prize

To confirm your winning, watch the webcast on the official website or check the results on the local newspaper. To claim your prize money worth $599 or less you can just visit the lottery retailer with your winning ticket and a photocopy of government-issued photo ID card to redeem your cash prize. For the prize worth $600 and more, you need to visit the official lottery premises or complete a claim form and attach it with your photocopy of government-issued photo ID card and winning lottery ticket and mail it on the official address.
